Sunset

“Sunset”
4/7/01
Words: Walter Koning

Sometimes I get lost in the music
Other times that’s where I find myself

Pairs of white lights coming while pairs of red lights are running

I’ve seen beautiful skies of shades of blue
And of shades of black or gray
Sunsets with brilliant reds, backdrops of purple tinted clouds
The hills provide an emptiness like no other, with their lack of color

As my paints can’t do justice to natural color scapes
My pen can hardly put to words the vision of a sunset
